Buy Local RI’s mission is to build a strong economy and vibrant community by promoting locally owned independent businesses, strengthening our state’s merchant and commercial associations, and providing a unified public resource where businesses and individuals can find and connect to local products and services.

Participation

Participants will receive a free listing in the Buy Local RI online database and will have opportunities to use and/or purchase Buy Local RI materials at cost.

Participating businesses and organizations will pledge that they are a locally owned independent business or organization that:

• Is Located in Rhode Island; and
• Is Privately, Employee, Community or Cooperatively owned; and
• Is majority-owned by Rhode Island resident(s); and
• Permits local control over key business decisions like supply contracts and advertising.
